2024 THE STELLENBOSCH RESERVE CHARDONNAY · FORMERLY MOEDERKERK

100% Chardonnay. The pronounced floral aroma of apple blossom combines with pineapple, cantaloupe, and lime cordial. Fresh lime and lemon cream are prominent on the palate, with crisp, citrusy acidity. Intense primary fruit with well-integrated oak that offers a biscuity flavour of shortbread. Vibrant fruit and a lingering finish.
Great with Roast Chicken, Spicy Food, Salmon, or soft cheese. Also, with Yellowtail with caper seeds, corn fritters with avocado salsa, or chicken stir-fry.

100% Chenin Blanc. Complex aromas reveal themselves on the nose: candied lemon peel, pineapple, honeysuckle, beeswax, cream, and shortbread. On the palate, lively acidity carries the fruit, with texture and layers of flavour expanding on the palate. A clean yet mouthwatering finish
Great with shellfish, lean fish and fruity desserts. Take wine out of fridge and open it 15 min. before serving it.

80% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay. Aromatic and fruity on the nose, with aromas of lemon, peach, and pineapples, along
with baked apple crumble and vanilla. Rich fruit follows through on the palate, where
the juicy flavours are accompanied by an integrated acidity, giving the palate a
smooth, rounded mouthfeel.
Serve with lighter meats like veal and pork work very well here, along with richer seafood dishes and soft cheeses.

80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cinsault. Vibrant black and red currants combine with dark chocolate, spices, and a note of fynbos. On the palate,
intense black currant and black cherry are supported by grippy, youthful tannins which in turn are softened
by the juicy red fruit of the Cinsault. Zesty acidity contrasts with the ripeness of the fruit, balanced by
savoury notes of black pepper and tobacco leaf.
Serve with Moroccan lamb, grilled vegetables, Thai curry, samosas.

100% Syrah. Floral perfume of jasmine with black cherry and tobacco. Full bodied with bold fruit, showing red cherry, blueberry, and black forest gateau. Subtle pink peppercorn and cumin compliment savoury notes of smoky meat. Balanced acidity, fine spicy tannins, and a juicy finish.
Great with Beef Stew, Game, Lamb Shank, Lamb Stew.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby in colour. A complex nose of black currant, dark chocolate, tobacco, cedar, nutmeg, and pencil shavings. Refined and elegantly balanced on the palate where intense black currant, black cherry, fresh
plum, and mulberry combine with spicy and savoury notes of cedar and tobacco to make this a classically styled Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon. Persistent, fresh finish of cassis and cedar.
Serve with Grilled beef, ribs, pork, venison, and hard cheese.

59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Syrah, 10% Merlot. Distinctive crème de cassis, ripe black cherries, sandalwood, cinnamon and a hint of red cherry combine to provide a layered and complex nose.
Focused and harmonious on the palate, with fine grained, coating tannins, a fresh, sour cherry acidity, and flavours of cassis, leather and dried Italian herbs. Concentrated black currant and chocolate on the long finish.
Pairs beautifully with a well-aged piece of beef cooked or any red meat dishes.
